It seems there are a lot more affected than they said I read that mine were not affected as it was slightly older vehicles but have now received the letters. But as i am not the original owner I have no idea if this repair took place although I suspect probably not

letter tells you not to use the heater fan except for a few seconds on no 4 setting to demist windscreen but it sounds as if they are going to fit new parts in every vehicle eventually

We have 3 Zafiras. One we have had from new and not had any work on the heater. the second we replaced the resistor ourselves using genuine Vauxhall parts. The last one we have only had a few weeks so we don't have a clue.

Looks like they don't need the heater. Just stand back and get warm that way. Typical Vauxhall!!

Just checked our records and it wasn't just the resistor that we changed. It was the whole fan. The driver complained of a burning smell. Looks like we were lucky.
