Andy7 You need to explain how you pull the handbrake up on a Merc? Can't find a handbrake on any of mine |

Mrs Gull has just got a new motor with no handbrake, no key, auto lights, auto windscreen, push a button to start, push a button to stop. Pity she hasnt got buttons like that on her. |

I understand theres still problems with vehicles in the provinces. Although, in the provinces we traditionally do more miles than cabs in London and our cabs tend to be manuals rather than automatics. It seems to be impossible to pin the problems down to specfic faults, just general breakdowns that are fuel related, to electrical problems. regards Captain cab |

Andy wrote: Jambo wrote: I would like to hear from anyone who is having problems with their TXII. Please post a reply to this message listing all you problems. I would like to ascertain whether there are common faults or if they are all different problems. One of our local owner/drivers has asked if I could sound out the group about problems he is having with emission failures on his early TX2, solved by cleaning out the EGR valve and resulting in performance better than when new, but quick to deteriorate and requiring a repeat cleaning performance sooner rather than later. Has anyone out there had similar experience, is this a common problem that LTI will not put their hands up to... or has he just acquired a dudun? He is not on the internet so any replies received I shall pass to him as printed hard copy. Best wishes Andy Having new EGR box fitted tomorrow £280 inc vat KPM !!! |

Andy7 wrote: Thats all rubbish about the TX2 having a better turning circle than the Merc. If you have a front wheel drive one, just yank on the steering wheel and grab the handbrake. You can turn em almost in their own length. thats how miniscab drivers drive oh sorry did i say they could drive sorry my mistake
