Hi folks hope you are all well,would a tx1 ignition barrel fit a tx2, mines jamming up occasionally and my Cab is up for test next month so I'd thought changing it just in case. Thanks in advance |

On the TX2 there is a transponder reciever bolted to the body of the lock with a small set screw, on some of the later TX1's there is a threaded hole for this screw so on this type it would be a straight replacement,if there is no threaded hole the easiest solution would be to take the chip out of the TX2 key and tape it onto the reciever and then cable tie it the loom, you'd be surprised how many TX2's have got chips taped to the recievers. Hope this helps. All the lock barrels are basically the same (with the exception of the chinese TX4's) so all are interchangable across the range. |
