Need new lower radiator hose - easy to replace myself?

Anyone got any idea how difficult it is? I don't have specialist tools but can fix most things.

If you can get to it yes, probably just two jubilee clips.
Would help knowing the vehicle though #-o

Easy as pie, top or bottom hose makes no difference to how it's done...if you can be arsed to do it:

Lol, sorry, it's a 2005 TX2.

It's just the lower hose apparently has a small leak. I just need to know if it's a bitch to get to that other clip, and if I have to remove anything else to get to the hose.

Where is the drain plug? and do I have to worry about anything else when doing it (every time I work on the cab, it seems there something else that has to be removed i.e. like removing the oil cooler to get to the starter).

Don't need to know that - once you undo the hose it'll drain !!
But more than likely on the bottom corner of the radiator.

Think it's east to do the bottom hose! Don't think it's very big Is it? Usually just on with jubilee clips on txs.

The drain plug is at the bottom of the radiator if your looking say from under the cab head first laying on the ground it's on the left near where the auto box pipe is to cool the gearbox

You don't need to take the oil cooler off to change the starter it's just a tight job and a pain but it can be done!

You're a better man (and mechanic) that me Matty - I couldn't get the damn thing off after moving the oil cooler. That top bolt on the Starter is nearly impossible to reach or get any purchase on.

I'll have a go with the lower hose. I was just worried the other end is buried deep in the engine....

The other end goes to the water pump outlet it can be a PITA to get off,access is better with the EGR removed once off you can see the back of the water pump there is a plastic outlet with 5 hoses connected to it and the very bottom one is the bottom hose. hope this helps. oh and the drain plug on the bottom of the rad looks like a butterfly screw.

Thanks Mate! Are you saying do it from above? I was going to jack up the car and do it from underneath?
