Hi folks, wonder if someone can help, I’ve got a 2009 tx4,I noticed yday whilst driving 50-60 the gear changed nto a lower gear as the engine seemed louder,I then noticed smoke coming from the exhaust,I slowed right down and I noticed the gearbox is not going past 3rd gear, popped the bonnet and I can hear a hissing noise, passenger side of engine bay, also when selecting Drive it more or less throws into gear quite hard the whole cab moves,

Anyone help with it could be please,Only just Bought it a few days ago,

Have you had the ATF changed recently or at all?

It was serviced by the previous owner last week, but I’m not to sure if the atf was changed,Had it plugged in and it showed code P0734 “4th gear incorrect ratio” I’ve only had the Cab 4 days.

I should take it back to whoever sold you it to repair or for a full refund as it's not fit for purpose....sooner the better as well.
