Son had "gearbox fault" flash up (now thinks he may have tried putting in drive to quick but also the glowplug warning has been on...amd off

but last night he had the "emissions" warning (not DPF) come on, car drove home ok, now it starts and it says "check coolant level/switch engine off" .... coolant level is fine.

on these the emissions warning (maybe EGR) is a engine icon

All different faults, none related :?
Battery could be on it's way out ? Sometimes a faulty battery can throw up all sorts of errors by confusing the ECU.

A diagnostic scanner might help, but will probably just list the same faults already mentioned.

couple of weeks ago it had a different unusual fault, sort of refused to start after a days local work

i told him to lock it up and leave it 5 minutes (hard on a rank) and then get back in.... it just needed some time by itself.. lol

its not the DPF light coming on, mind you the mpg is atrocious at 35mpg overall, maybe its over-fuelling

its going soon, getting a Dacia Logan instead, its all the usual class of punter deserve...

Could be Alternator, when that starts to go on a modern car the resultant electrical impulse fluctuations play merry hell with all the various sensors and such likes, it's happened to me once on a Skoda and once on a citroen, it was like the car was possessed. fault lights came on intermittently, leccy windows would stick and car would go into limp mode from the false signal from the DPF sensor..it was weird.
