It will be the solenoid after you've taken your foot off the brake the solenoid gets stuck and stops the door opening

There about £50 and easy to get to or you can take it out and soke it in electrical cleaner that works sometimes

Sorry i miss read your question and got it the wrong way round if it not opening from the outside must be the mechanism to the handle the only way to find out is to take the door panel off you'll see a plastic cover with for big pop rivets the handle mechanism is behind that probably came disconnected. Dont think much else could be wrong unless central locking is faulty on that door

When it stops opening from in inside at least you will know were to start.
After running up 200.000 in my first one and 300.000 in the one i have now
You get to know them quite well
Excellent cabs but loads of little problems

Thanks Perry, mine has 152k now. I wouldn't say mine has had a lot of little problems, compared to my tx's or metrocabs. I prefer the new shape eurocabs. At the moment I can't see a better cab on the market.

As an update to my door lock problem;not opening from outside intermittently I bought the lock with the 2 cables and all is now working normally. I am pretty sure the problem lay with the cables becoming stretched (worn) and maybe the plastic bits which form part of the cables.
