Most of the the time when i start my cab when the engine is hot there is this really horrible rattling/ ticking noise. The same sound if you try to start the cab while its already running after about 5 minutes it will stop or alternatively i can turn it off and then back on and it will stop. Any ideas?

It could be just the starter motor, then again it could be the flexi plate breaking up. This is a thin metal plate that fits onto the crankshaft and then the torque converter bolts onto the plate and the flywheel ring gear goes right round the outside.

On my 2002 tx2 i had a matalic type sound but it was continuous rattling though didn't go away like yours, it was one of the bolts that fix the flex plate/flywheel to the talk converter had come loose just needed tightening up again. if you get under it and just at the back of the oil sump (for the engine) looking at the gearbox there is an inspection hole about 2 inches wide have a look in there see if anything is loose or cracked. Turn the engine round on the crank as you look bit by bit.
