Hi guys Got an issue with my tx2 where the bonnet wont open. If i pull the release handle the bonnet pops and the same thing happens if i operate the cable manually at the front of the cab so i guess its not an issue with the cable. However the bonnet only pops up a small amount not enough to release the safety catch. Any ideas on how to get the thing open? as the battery is completely flat. I've tried using a small screwdriver to push the safety catch but that didn't work. My guess is that the bonnet is not high enough to release the safety catch. Thanks |

hi. been a while since i had a tx2, but remember i had problem like that turned out to be the hinge's was the problem, hot saying 100 percent thats your problem but worth a check |

You might have to push the bonnet down a bit after it’s ‘popped’ and try to release the catch. |

Thanks for the replies guys Managed to get the bonnet open. Think the bonnet had come out of alignment. Managed to just about get a spanner on the bolts that hold the bonnet to the hinge on the RHS. Once i undone them the bonnet lifted up high enough to release the safety catch. After i carefully opened the bonnet i re- fitted the bolts and adjusted the position of the bonnet and it now opens and closes perfectly Thanks guys. |
