I have a Mercedes M8 which is displaying its engine management lights constantly.

The garage I use have tried several things and so far none have worked.

It drives fine except jerking a bit specially when driving uphill.

It is sluggish when first started from cold and feels as if the fuel is not coming through to the engine.

Any help / ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks

You’ll have to get it plugged into a decent diagnostic system first ( autologic or ideally Mercedes STAR, some of the cheaper ones won’t be able to delve very deep) it should show something if the management light is on. Failing that, I’d be guessing injectors or the common rail fuel regulator is another known problem on the Vito.
