Hi there. My 1st time posting a topic and looking for help or advice. While changing the ball joints on the front stub of my 2017 TX4 I accidently burnt the Abs wiring on the drivers side. I stripped the damage wiring and re-wired it. I now have the traction control light coming on when I drive about 10 yards but seems to have NO adverse effect on my braking. Do I have to get a vehicle diagnostic to clear or reset it or do I replace the cable? If a replacement is required, is there a compatible sensor from ie land rover, jaguar etc? Thanks in advance.

Edit: P.S it is the square type connector and square sensor which I believe the plug may be changed from the earlier sensor?

I would imagine the fault just needs resetting.

It can't really be anything else.

I'll give that a try. It's anything between £40 and £80 for diag as there are only 2 garages up here in Edinburgh with the software. If it says the sensor is faulty it will mean finding a replacement which isn't easy then having it reset again. Anyone know if there is a compatible sensor available? The plug can be changed from my original.

if you can get the part number from the sensor google it and you should be able to find the part and which vehicles use this part

Had this control light on my 2016 after the steering box was replaced - steering angle sensor saw a change/fault. If you've replaced ball joints it might produce the same thing.

It just needed the LTC software to clear the code, nothing else.

Thanks buddy. I'll pop in to the garage and ask them to look into it with the diagnostic machine. I'll update the post when done. :)

Just an update. After replacing the track rod ends and front ball joints. I was advised to get a wheel alignment before they could reset the traction light. All done and tickety boo.

Should be all good - mine's never come back after the reset.
