what was the outcome on the autobox of yours then, the trouble is buying another auto box is there won't be any history , you could be back in the same boat when you got it fitted, did the guy who looked at your auto give you any indication of refurbish cost

so you have lost weekend work,3/ 4/5 hundred adrift so far

cost of refurbishing your box should be in the range of 3/4 hundred quid with 3 day turn round plus some warranty.

Recon box and torque converter with three months warranty is I believe about £850 plus VAT in Liverpool

Box is done for. Theres basically no 2nd gear so it revs very high before going into 3rd. Its usable (i'm still using it!) but needs a new one really.

Been quoted 1k+vat fitted BUT i only plan to keep cab for 12 months more till i upgrade so wanted really a good secondhand one or a cheaper recon!!
