Post subject:  Euro seven spare parts or no spare parts

Mega problems with the sliding doors on a two year old euro seven, not opening and one time, customer stuck in the back, doors would not budge.
Lack of parts for the doors, now cab is off the road, awaiting parts.
Told that these parts will come in next month,no stock anywhere in UK.
No money in this cabby,s pocket.
Terrible service, you would have thought with the trade, warning about the problems with these doors, they would have rectified all,by now.

a few of my mates have bought the E7 and are having trouble with the handles! The handles are far too flimsy for the job!
They both have had new handles in less than a month!
They seem pleased with the E7s driving but not impressed with cab directs
finishing!!

Do not think this is Cab Direct fault, would have thought that it was a Peugeot factory fault,or to be more precise, part fault,as I would expect that Cab Direct only does the conversion,or could be wrong.
Anyway there should not be a waiting time of this extent for parts.

So going back to the door handles, instead of my customers having to "Gently pull handle to open" on my Eurotaxi, it's more of a case of "Yank as hard as you can"

Is it the plastic handles that need to be replaced or something else?

Regards
Nick

This is all very interesting to know for when we in London get 'Alternative vehicles'.

I think they had a problem which they have since sorted, I think. :?

Some drivers just don't like the alternatives, so they have made a big thing over something small.

They would much prefer to drive an expensive, thirsty, un-safe Icon.

I agree with you Sussex. But at the moment we have no choice.
As I have said earlier, my Metro only cost me £3500 plus a bit to get it ship shape. When I had to ditch my FX4 as it was not wheelchair compatable I was not going to spend megabucks. As I felt I was being conned by TFL and PCO.
I am just hoping for the day that we do get alternatives and watch the high priced TXs and LTI go bust.
