Owner i hire off has just bought a TX$ yesterady - seems ok but the radio reception seems terrible

alot of local stations lose signal easily and forget trying to listen to anything on medium wave

anyone else had problems or is this a one off?

I have the same problem in a vw sharan. tried 3 or 4 radios. I'm told the problem is down to the ariel being part of the rear window. Apparently these ariels are cr*p. I was advised to fit a body ariel, but don't want to drill a hole :sad: so will have to put up with it. Does your tx have the same kind of ariel?

This may sound daft but you do have the silly little aerial at the rear of the roof on, these are removable.

If all else fails try an aerial amplifier.
