guys, the TX2 i drive has the above problem, took it to the local main taxi dealer in Leeds, and it needs the valve replacing, but that'll cost between £200-£300, is there any way to bypass the heater matrix in the blower unit to stop the hot water getting that far?? my father in law had the same prob, but his was done under warranty, mine doesnt have any warranty now, understand it's a common problem, your help is greatly appreciated with the warm weather on it's way!! many thanks |

To bypass the heater matrix on our limos you remove both pipes and join them together with a "U" shaped piece of pipe and a couple of jubilee clips. I suppose that this can be done the same on a TX. |

A guy I know just replaced the hot/cold valve with a standard type central heating valve, he just turns it off when it get off and back on in the cold times. Pain in the arse but dirt cheap. |

known as a duo valve, or mono valve, fitted to lots of vehicles the main agents don't mess around, just bang on a new unit but you can repair these yourself if you can get hold of a repair kit for that valve model, ie Bosch. or whatever electrics run on your vehicle repair kits are around 25 quid, take the valve off the vehicle and take to a clean bench, watch it, loads of bits and pieces depending which type it is, note how it comes to pieces, then replace, usually its a stuck valve which can be cleaned up here is some pics not your model but gives you an idea http://mbdieseldiy.tripod.com/monovalve.htm http://www.zianet.com/SLlover/page62g.html |
