I have almost stripped my Metro series one trying to find the front wiper parking relay/module. The wipers are parking in an upright/verticle position. This happened on wednesday when it was raining.
I have taken the panel off from under the bonnet and exposed the wiper motor but there is no relay anywhere on or near it.
So does anyone know where it is? Series 1 F reg

isn't it in the luggage compartment where the fuses are? Or maybe under the dashboard in the luggage area?

Sometimes it is actually a part of the wider Motor....... and not something that can be exchanged or replaced

I tried where the fuses are and under this is loads of wireing.
I hope its not built into the motor as its going to be costly.
Normaly when the relay packs up you have to park the wipers manualy by turning off the wipers when in the desired position. But I cannot understand why they park at the other end of the travel.

If I remember correctly the motor is the same one used on the old transit or Granada, check the serial numbers with a ford dealer, then try the scrappy, if your unsuccessful in fixing it there are loads of secondhand ones to be had try Google it come up with loads of secondhand places where you can get one from
