i was going to sort my insurance out tomorow and book mot and book my locality test i think thats all i have to do the only problem ive got is i was done for gbh 4 years ago and ive had to rite a letter explaining what happened 4 years ago but ive been told its a formality. so ime stuck until they have sorted it out. my councils policy is as long as you havent offended in last 3 years

Stage 1 (Application Form received and validated): Completed on 25 Aug 2008
Stage 2 (Police National Computer searched): Completed on 27 Aug 2008
Stage 3 (POCA, POVA and List 99 searched, where applicable): Completed on 29 Aug 2008
Stage 4 (Records held by the Police search): In Progress
Stage 5 (Disclosure Printed): Not Started

Anyone know how long the police take to complete there search

it took me 8 weeks but i contacted a councilor and it was done next day if that helps .

after 8 weeks of waiting for my police checks. i contacted a councilor about my crb and . the next day it came through is that better or does your head still hurt.

spoke to crb and they tell 8 weeks is nornal for a police check will speak to my councilor see if he hurry things up
