Yeap Mr Guest you are right, this was a thread on the crazy prices for Skoda services, and the mugs who have to pay for it.

Yours faithfully A Mug. :(

Not to be pedantic or anything. But, Guest, we are either an old Ar*e in the singular, or a bunch of old Ar*e's (plural). We cannot be a "bunch" of old Ar*e or that infers more than one of us yet defeats the argument by making it singular, thus, by protraction of your statement, it now infers that you are the ar*e.

I may be wrong... but no doubt Claude will correct me.

Interesting analysis that Andy.

I had actually assumed that the word was used in some sort of unusual idiomatic (?) manner.

Like a pile of pants, or something like that.

Or 'a load of crap' if you substitute ar$e for crap, if you see what I mean!

Ie referring to the forum and content generally, rather than the participants.

Dusty

Having said that, his use of the word 'bunch' would tie more with Andy's analysis.

Anyway, hopefully it'll be in the OFT report.

Dusty :)

Indeed. I was trying to be a bit "ironic" :)

Don't ya just love people who come on and say everything is crap and add nothing to the debate themselves.

Anyway, do you reckon the OFT will describe us as a bunch of Ar*es? That would be an intriguing report.

I would hope they wouldn't describe all those working full time, driving HC or PH in those terms.

But I can foresee similar words describing the legislation and those that enforce it.

in scotland we have a special deal with the dealers once the work is done, if the price is too much he simply does,nt get paid ,if the price is right maybe he does
this seems to work well in scotland.try it elsewhere.

That's nothing, we've got vultures in my manor, and that's just the rest of the trade!
