Well it just goes to show how daft you really are Mr T. God only knows how bad this is gonna get but one things for sure, we won't be worrying about plate "values".

The banks won't be chucking money at taxi drivers for some time to come.

Only one thing will matter next year - Cash not Credit . . . .

Mortgage, Credit Cards, Car loans, Taxi and Plate loans and huge direct debits, says the guys who bought in will be going out the box.

I know more than one Taxi entrepreneur, who is shi*ing it . . . .

You obviously don't have a clue what's going on- any time, anywhere, anyhow

Jim's applications were not before the court. One applications was lost. The case for which was never argued. The lawyers failed to follow the direction of the client. Yes, it was a fu*k up but nothing more than that.

Oh and btw, more applications will follow . . . .

Aye right Saf, keep taking the pills . . . Dug, TC, and now Saf, you just couldn't make it up.

I hate to disappoint, but we're planning to buy in around about March, 2009, sad to say, it won't be for 50K or even the price of a court case with the council.

We do plan to keep all bases covered though, just in case.... :D

I must agree with Mr Skull that buying in about March I do think there will be some cheaper plates with some people not being able to ride the storm.I apologize for being so rude about you now Mr Skull...on this occasion i dont like to say it but your probably right.. :-|

I think there will be a big change in ownership over the coming months. The guy that bails out is working against the clock. If he waits too long to conclude the deal he ends up with nothing. This could mean the sale of his house. If the loan for the taxi and plate is secured against his property, he might already be in negative equity - it's a, take the cash and run scenario - better a few grand on the hip, than feck all. #-o

Why dont you believe this Gary :?:
Is it so hard to believe that there is someone not in the same boat as you.
The good thing is Gary it could not have happened to a nicer person.
Sold at the right time Gary but still good to know you are struggling more now than you were a few months ago.
Good luck with your eternal crusade on the council, its just a shame that once again it has been proven that you and numb nuts really are the laughing stock of the trade.

Ever noticed how the numptys assume they're talking for the majority. When they never consult anyone before venting their spleen?

Of course, they could put the whole gig to a vote and ask the 3500 drivers if they want to drive their own taxi?

Should you not be out working your 20 hour shift just to make ends meet or is it true, you have given up the ghost.
We could also ask these drivers if they are more than happy with a restricted market. :D
I think we all know what the answer would be dont we Jim. \:D/

Yeah, and while you're at it, why don't you ask the customers what they want? Why not stand on the streets and ask those freezing their bollocks off if they're happy that the reason they can't hail a taxi is because selfish cab owners have a plate value to protect, and a driver to exploit.

Seems to me that the definition of erse is not just the language of Ireland, eh

Aye, they would jump to grab their own plate  rather than pay an artificial value to some numpty, living in never, never land like you Saf.

Feck me, you still want people to buy in even though the country's fecked . . . you need help son. . . .
