now we shall no doubt see the enforcement officers out in force around the stations, pity they couldn't get off their backsides to inspect a few more PH chaps!!! Guess they wouldn't want to upset the delicate little souls

I pulled up a police van last night and asked him why he had just driven passed a line of PHV's illegally parked and ranking in the middle of Regent Street outside the Cafe royal. He said " F**k off or I'll nick you for using your horn whilst stationary" he then put up his window and shot off.

But still I think Boris has come up trumps for us, the added expense was unnecessary.

Did you know the Secret Service are in collaboration with the Minicab trade who run all the traffic warden services in London nowadays?

Apparently the Secret service is making a bid to takeover the PCO and Bob Oddies involved as well!

Apparently Bob Oddie now runs Addison Lee as he doesn’t answer e-Mails and the LTDA are setting up the first Minicab rank at a mainline station!

But why no change to the checks for PH?

Yes there maybe some iffy PH, but why can't they have the special supa dupa on the road checks that seem to be happening to the cab trade.

That said I didn't ever believe I would see the day where London PH are checked to a higher level than the black cab trade.

not at all, as far as i know it's also going to be scrapped for the PH mob!! you must know the system by now..........when it benefits the Taxi trade it has to benefit the PH trade, when it benefits the PH trade it's at the detriment of the Taxi trade

Still 2 MOT's a year is no hardship compared to 2 overhauls.

How long until they complain though ? I give it a month.

Strange thing though, the PCO/TFL did not release this post until two days after it was signed, in fact 38/08 was released six hours before 37/08.
Probably doesn't mean anything, could have been waiting for a last minuet challenge.
They made it sound as if it was there idea all along, instead of Boris.
Just shows how underhanded and slippery they really are.
