What do you think his plans are for the trade?

To do everything he can to remain Mayor.

If that means being good to the trade, then it will happen. If he needs to be bad to the trade to remain, then that will happen.

Let's see what comes out of his 'tout and your out' policy. :?

Top of my head, the good things-scrapping mid-term overhauls, keeping mini-cabs out of bus lanes, reinstating a representive to the transport commitee, appears to be "listening" & working with the licensed cab trade. :)

Minus points, allowing signage back onto mini-cabs, not doing enough in regard with illegal touting & clip board johnnies despite his "one strike & your out". :-| eusasmiles.zip

Still early days & the jury is still very much out, BUT the early signs are good & in my opinion a 101% improvment on the newt livingstone

As I said in the election thread, I think little will change, however its still better than having the socialist dictator in power with people like Stalin Flannagan being entertained at City Hall, running the risk of him being listened to as a representative of the Taxi and Minicab trade.

Yes.
He defeated Livingstone.
That's all.
Johnson didn't 'win',Livingstone was THAT unpopular and Johnson was the best candidate the Conservatives could find.

What does it say about British politics that the best candidates for mayor of London was Johnson and Livingstone?

London deserves better.

We did!

'amnesty for illegal immigrants in London'?
He appears to have gone native over the 2012 games.

...and this after just 6 months in the job...

Why we need a viable third party in UK politics.

Looks like he's seeking the abolition of the congestion charge western extention. Good idea. Stops the Chelsea mob driving in to the middle without charge.

Reduced 'C' charge coffers may hopefully reduce the number of buses on the road too.

It should help Manchester as well. They will be able to buy some cheap secondhand gear for their congestion chaging area. Result!
