Ooops looks like the 'blonde moment' is rubbing off on everybody or maybe I just wasn't clear in my ramblings (probably the later). It was meant as if you were just starting in the taxi game in London your HC had to be under 3 years old. For those who already have a HC this didn't matter and it wasn't the intention that you should change it every 3 years either.

You could have a big sign saying 'pre booked only' all over the car, it would not make a blind bit of difference!

That's great init when the cab you're isn't fit for the purpose you can take great comfort in having The Knowledge of knowing this. There should be a countywide rethink of HC/PH Taxis the regulations need to be brought into the 21st century. Whilst I appreciate that London is in a way different to the rest of the Country it should not by any means be exceptional

All three LTI Taxis I've owned have been more than fit enough for the purpose.

How many LTI taxis have you owned and driven Mr Toots?

to be honest I don't really know but I think having consultation with the people who actually work the trade and not people who supposedly represent workers of the trade (but don't work it) and not just LO's and Co. Owners. I can't follow all the regulations and contrary to opinion I'm not as fick as one might fink but they're like a patchwork quilt with a bit added here and a bit added there. They need a flippin overhaul to get rid of cobwebs in it as I said bring the trade into the 21st century.

No but it may help if we Paint then tartan and send all 56,000 of them north, up to the Scottish Borders.
