The TX 2 starter motors are always going.... more so with the manual gearbox............. automatics tend to be more reasonable............. the fault is the clutch..... it breaks up and fills the starter motor with massives amounts of dust .....it's actually the flywheel that breaks up..

I have had my TX 2 clutch changed to a normal solid clutch and flywheel.
Best mod I ever made plus no more ruined starter motors.

Then he needs to change starter motors. I run a small fleet and not one has thrown a starter after the conversion.
I do use a genuine LTI one though.

Solid flywheels = burnt out clutch bearings
