DRIVER WANTED

Must have brief and be non smoker for full rental agreement on very low mileage TX1, freedom to control your own hours - work when you want!

All I want is the weekly rental and my cab looked after. Would be Louis Hamilton's need not apply.

Rental £300 per week (Plate 450 Street Cab)

Give me a ring on 07850 882 304

The above ad was handed to me on a slip of paper, along with everyone else on the rank.

Oh and btw, you don't get a bed an en-suite bathroom or a flat screen TV, but you do get to live in the bast***

Customer service or abject slavery, eh?

:?

Rental £300
Fuel £150

Total £450

On a good week you'd expect to make £900 - 150 fares at average £6.

So, how do you fund sick pay, pension, holiday pay, National Insurance and Income tax?

Or, are we all doing 200 fares a week, 1200 showing the extra demand no one is admitting to?

people out there are getting paid off when things were good no one said Booooo we are all having to take a bit of hurt right now put a few extra hours in why not get a drive with a radio company give you a chance of more work

only way to stop this guy charging that for a street car is to ignore it and he will have to drop it my mate pays a lot less for a street car rental. not all owners are bar stewards.

I think private hire firm 203020 is 300 a week but you get an illegal yard to work from

I was driving 450 and it was on an exclusive at the door 24/7 was a wee bit cheaper than that at the time and I was making wages I dont see what the problem is maybe its a tad over what the rental should be now as it is pretty quiet but the guy is probably negotiable on the price. Why would it be expensive at that anyway with all our unmet demand in edinburgh

You'll pay up to £230/£250 (Merc) in London which has no cap on the amount of Taxis that can be plated.

I guess it depends what condition the TX1 is in.

My TX2 is mint, I'd be looking at £225 a week if (which I won't) it were rented out.

Rentals go up, against a backdrop of falling customer numbers and £300 big ones isn't a problem?

You lot need help.

a ranking buddy of mine has a deal with a saloon op for £180 this is for the five main night wed_sun,the operator does not drive the car he has another buisness, he also has a dayshift driver giving him £140,the car works through tele taxis £77 per week ,the car has a private plate but im guessing a 03/04 vectra, the running costs must be high(clutch /flywheel this very week)my mate is not the slowest of drivers but i estimate the op may be clearing £150 per week, meanwhile another mate forced to put on a £20000 cab is hoping he can hire his cab out for sat/sun for £180 ,2 days later a message came over teles computer system(full time night shift driver looking for a car salloon only)being forced to fork out on an expensive wav is only the start of the problems for the new ops,the saloon ops have the advantage of being able to give better deals giving them the edge, thankfully when the saloon ops cease to be their plates also follow the same fate

There's more to come Dundee wav, a big reality check is just around the corner.
