Dear Mr T Watt, or @rse as you are known,
failure to provide me an existing licence holder with a licence to continue operating,
will result in me having to go bankrupt and for me to sue your council for the outstanding £32,000 still due on the heap of sheit your council forced me to buy last year.
The DSA test was not a condition of licence when i first started and should only apply to new drivers.
Forcing me to take the test is unreasonable so i will see you in court
Have a nice day
regards Mr Barmcake

Dear Mr Barkcake,

Thank you for your recent letter in support of the application.

I regret to advise, having given all of 30 seconds of thinking, your appeal to me has been unsuccessful.

You are entitled to appeal my decision in magistrates court within 21 days of the date of this letter.

Until such time as your appeal takes place, I advise the council will issue you with a temporary license for 21 days, this being the time limit for your appeal. When the time limit expires a further granting will be considered, until such time as due process has been resolved.

Get well soon

Mr T. Watt

as A side issue...If I was Lo I'd perhaps answer as such;

Dear Mr Barmcake,

I Acknowledge receipt of your recent letter and note its contents.

I wasn't aware I was called @rse, perhaps this is in the same manner as you may not know your known as an imbecile. I do have proof of this allegation, as whilst at work, your wife is busy with several of your colleagues giving a certain type of relief.

Your letter to me indicates an insufficient grasp of the English language, this is a prerequisite of license, you must there undertake a VRQ assessment, for your application to proceed. Failure to achieve the qualification within 12 months will see your drivers license revoked.

With reference to the piece of shiet you bought with other peoples money, unfortunately you failed to respond to the consultation, and if you did, the council department reading swahili that week was on holiday so it possibly wasn't included in the response. However, bearing in mind your possible response / incoherent drivel was the only one received, the council didn't see it as important, thus the policy was instigated.

You do point out the conditions when you first started, however (and as you will be aware), having a pulse was a condition of license back then, as was having a horse, so we didn't really see that as necessary in your response to that particular consultation.

I trust this clarifies the council position.

Best Wishes

Mr T. Watt

Under a new system to unify taxi licences, Northumberland County Council will now make the decisions.

No-one has been appointed to look after Taxi and Private Hire Licensing within the "new" authority.

As they haven't been able to decide upon a single policy, or decided to actually talk to any member of the trade I doubt that the County Council could decide anything to do with licenses at this time.

Please bear in mind that the unification commences on April 1st 2009, just about 3 weeks away.

I think the choice of date may well be apt.

The word on the street is that the district council areas will be retained as zones for HC.

This will mean that vehicles previously licensed in Berwick that ply for hire will have to continue to ply for hire in Berwick and will be unable to ply for hire in other zones.

I have to add that the choice not to consult could have been made to allow councillors and officers to make their decisions on policy without intervention from people who have a vested interest to expand the policy of Berwick throughout the "new" authority.

I have made demands for consultation today, apparently there will be some appointments in the next week or so ................ and whenever that is announced further demands for consultation will be made.
