the TROOPS (?) sign up to "Defend king/queen and country"

Sadly HMG then place them wherever they see fit

Yes they signed a bit of paper that says "I will kill whoever I get told to"

Following orders is no excuse for murder

What a coincidence, there's a Sgt Howard Wright in the Royal Marines, and a Sgt Howard Wright in the US Marine Corps.

Both in "recon" units too!

Urban Myths abound on the internet.

If you had a family member out in a war zone you would probably understand.

Recently, British Royal Marines in Iraq wrote to Starbucks because they
wanted to let them know how much they liked their coffees, and to

Starbucks replied, telling the Royal Marines thank you for their
support of their business, but that Starbucks does not support the war,
nor anyone in it, and that they would not send the troops their brand
of coffee.

So as not to offend Starbucks, maybe we should support them by NOT
buying any of their products!

I feel we should get this out in the open. I know this war might not be
very popular with some folks, but that doesn't mean we don't support
the boys on the ground, fighting street-to-street and, house-to-house.

If you feel the same as I do then pass this along.
Thanks very much for your support. I know you'll all be there again
when I deploy once more.

Sgt. Howard Wright.

Sorry to wee on your ships GBC It has been plagiarised from a US story. In the British Forces, we don't call them "recon"..... it is known as "recce"

Urban Myth! more like skulduggery or do they call it spin, this has probably originated from another Coffee company.

They whoever they are should have left them to their own ends, as to why people go back there I am at a complete loss. I think someone needs to show them what coffee looks/taste like.
