And from Bexley:

Dear Mr Raeburn

FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT 2000 - INFORMATION REQUEST

Your request for information has now been considered and the information requested is set out below:-

1. Please can I have all information relating to Private Hire Vehicle access to Bus Lanes?

The Bus Lanes in the Borough of Bexley do not have an exemption for use by Private Hire Vehicles, some have an exemption for use by taxis, but I am not aware of any Council that has created an exemption for Private Hire Vehicles. The reason for this is that Private Hire Vehicles are often easily mistaken for private cars and could therefore encourage other drivers to enter the bus lane. In London, taxis are distinct, and allowing them access to bus lanes does not create this situation. Having said that, not all bus lanes in Bexley have an exemption for taxis, in some circumstances it is not appropriate for taxis to use the bus lane.

2. Copies of all traffic orders related to Bus Lanes?

The Council can provide copies of traffic orders relating to bus lanes, but there is a charge for providing copies of this information. I am not sure if you are still interested in copies of the orders now I have confirmed none of them include provision for Private Hire Vehicles. If you are still interested I can provide copies of each order and this will confirm the roads on which there are bus lanes and the rules of operation of each bus lane.

That's the game Don, ignore the facts that EVERY Council you've approached have all said 'NO', and concentrate on the gags.

You can't really see the Tate from street level, but you can see The London Eye from afar, hence my choice of landmark for the Minicab driver to find his way.

PEACE,and seasons greetings to you. We both believe that our cause is just and fair. However i believe that your position is discriminating against the travelling Public who we both serve. Your trade is now basically a tourist attraction, whilst Private hire cater for the general public's
needs on a much wider scale, and indeed cover the entire Metropolitan area, whilst yours is at best very patchy and on many high streets non-existent,indeed if you were not supported by your Yellow badged drivers your trade would not survive. This is the basis of our argument.WHY SHOULD THE MAJORITY OF THE PUBLIC RECEIVE A SECOND CLASS SYSTEM. :?:

You burrow so hard on the net like a mole :D but you do not see daylight.
Why don't you get Silent Bob and Mad Bob(you can choose which is your uncle  ) to ask the Mayor to repeat his Pre Election pledge about no Private Hire in bus lanes.

While your busy doing your research on London Borough Councils

Which Council Leader said this,

"I have taken the opportunity to contact my good colleague Cllr ***** as he is the Environment Portfolio Holder. Firstly, he would like me to re-assure you of his enduring support on the mattter as he recognises the benefits that can be achieved.

In fact he has already ventured a verbal opinion/offer to do trial pilot locally in conjunction with a neighbouring borough."

names removed to protect borough from RMT Demos.

The only second class system in London is the trade that has drivers who can't speak English, don't know where they are going, and have to work 7 days a week.

And that's your side Don. It always will be.

We have a reputation for being the best trained in the world, your side has the reputation of being rapists. Just look at the flurry of recent stories on here.

Nice.

Like most unionists, you seem to live on another planet, but that's why people don't listen to you anymore.

And WTF is that post meant to be about? :?

You seem quite obsessed about the Mayors pledge.

I'd say by clicking on the above links the position is very clear.

Answer: No.

Always will be. :D

One failed Knowledge Councillor is just that, one Councillor.

OH NO,not the same old chestnut, seem to recall that a Licensed Black cab/hack is currently serving time for a reported 200+ indecent assaults and many rapes. Where do you get your figures from, don't you think that any rape or assault committed by a LICENSED private hire driver would be plastered across the Evening Standard in bold head lines. No wonder you need a meter! cos your numeracy is somewhat lacking.

AND IN THE MODERN VENACULAR........BRO,YOUVE BEEN SERVED!!

You seem to be be content with the 'promises' you have found but just like Macbeth and the witches you are easily fooled. Hug those links for comfort, you will see PH in London Bus Lanes.
