It’s quite nice not having every thread interrupted by a dozen pictures of irrelevant objects.

I’m sure the TDO bandwidth has shrunk considerably as well.

I miss wannabe. He was very good at digging out mechanical detail e.g. DMF flywheels and such like.

TDO seems to be going towards a singular HC view. I'm HC and PH licensed as a driver and have refused to license my car as an HC because of the lack of ranks in the northern part of North Kestevan DC.

I've talked to many guys in Boston and Sleaford who are derestricted as to gain info. There's no doubt that de-restriction causes HC and PH to merge into one lump. Whether it's good or bad is another matter :-/

Reluctantly, I feel that the whole of TDO is tending towards a very patronising HC only view which leaves me feeling very uncomfortable.

Outside London we're in a very muddled position where each district has it's own interpretation of the current statutes.

Toot's is absolutely bang on right in what she has said now and in the past, the two sides of our divide must merge eventually, it's just a matter of time really. I feel enormously sympathetic towards the guys who have bought plates and vehicles in a restricted HC area like Lincoln city, it seems to me to be a very scary gamble.

What happens in that cess pit of [edited by admin] which is the smoke (London) remains an unknown. Bear in mind I grew up in North London (Kenton, Wembley, Kilburn, Neasden and Harrow) in the 50's, 60's and early 70's so I'm not a stranger to the area. Having said that I would rather rip my own tongue out with a pair of pliers than go back.

Again, I have to say Toot's is right. Not because I'm a sad middle aged tw@t and she's a smart, yummy bird - she's just right in her interpretation.

So - wishing you all the best for Chrissy and the New Year everyone, good luck and some profit :-))

Why do you have HC and PH badge? What advantage or benefit does it give you to hold both?

I'd blame the GMB for that

Well send him an e-mail, or ring him up.

Maybe his computer is not well.

It's a dual badge district. That is - the one license is for both HC and PH.
