thats very probable
but those t***s on the ipl and fasties have no clue and think they've won somit, just like when they were trying to get the survey debunked which would have led to a free for all if the council had not adopted the findings of the survey.thats how stupid they are.

they have no clue, just a cheering mob IMO.

Ali T, Gusmac,

What is the procedure for IPL guys now? Do they have to wait 21 days to receive licence in case of objections? If anybody objects what happens next?
Heard there was more than 18 guys from that IPL list who have had or currently have a plate or more than one.. CEC done [edited by admin] all about that also...

I believe that this was my prediction at the outset.
I further predict that no one will else will get a plate, even through the courts.

does that prediction have any foundation,or are we in the realms of clairvoyancy

None whatsoever. Just my opinion from reading all the various posts on the subject. Now what odds will you give me?

All of the live applicants who appeal to the sheriff will eventually get their grants, unless there is a decent reason for refusal (i.e. not fit and proper)
CEC have used this process to disperse the IPL IMHO and in doing so have denied the live applicants their rights under the CGSA.

As for the cap, that's up to CEC.

the ipl is irrelevant .

the council is trying a fast one here, its tantamount to perverting the course of justice imo.

28 days to wait in case of appeal

thing is the other apps who will appeal haven't been denied by then have they, therefore any appeal to a sheriff would be seen as premature, and kicked back to the council.
if i were them(apps)id get an injunction quick smart just in case.

mind you it probably doesn't matter as all will get thier plates, but if you want to stop the ipl getting in there before anyone else then thats what id do

Are they likely to still want to go through the motions of presenting a case as to why a licence should be granted, or do you think they'll state from the off that the licences have already been handed out?

They have to consider all applications individually, if you have special circumstances (there is no council criteria for this??Surprise Surprise) they can grant a licence, but the upshot is that they are only going through the legal process as stipulated by the CG1982Act. They will then tell you that 'Due to no unmet demand your licence application is refused. When this happens ask for a 'Statement of Reasons' as this will be used if you decide to appeal their decision. The bottom line is No Licences will be granted tomorrow IMO other than maybe 2 that were carried forward from the 18th Jan and both of these were from the Interested Parties List. What they are doing is illegal and they know it, they know that if you want to pursue it through the courts it costs money, it is up to the individual/s. If you want to appeal... Try and get a group action with other unsuccessful applicants to cut down on costs.. I wish you the best of luck
