A vehicle that is passed by VOSA and sold to the general public, only has to fulfil the needs of the Purchaser , the safety of his passengers and the insurance liabilities rest with him.. a council has a duty of care ... which means they have to evaluate the vehicles for passenger safety, if a licenced vehicle was involved in an accident and the passenger was trapped through the seating arrangements... and possibly died... then the council could well be held responsible for licensing that vehicle.

VOSA approve all manner of vehicles.....it doesnt mean they should be licensed as taxis.

Then they should apply the governments guidance and not there own or go by the taxi rules that apply.

Up here as long as it has 4 or more doors and has a 1.4 or more engine it can be a cab

You can get out from the rear door there is a handle and there is plenty of room to get by the seats, some of the more energetic punters use the back door to get in and out

Which model Galaxy is this then Skippy? Mine is a 55 plate and there is no handle on the inside and you would struggle to get between the 2 rear seats. You can't get over the seats because the head restraints are almost up to the roof.
