don't you think your being shafted by the proposed tariff then Dougie.

don't you think the public are being shafted especially those arriving at the airport.

don't you think this proposed tariff is actually a private tariff for city and crt,as they are the only ones who will gain from it,what the rest of us get is not worth having.

perhaps "gain" is the wrong word

just not lose as much would be a better description for the airport debacle

Now that's a FACT
Jim your post's are so one sided and based on your individual opinion, nothing you say is said to the benefit of the whole trade, your superior intellect is so illusional :D

I for one will be quite happy to pay £35 for a Tarrif increase, if it wasn't for you and your carpetbagging fiends we wouldn't be needing a tarrif increase.

Isn't it true that in de-limited area's Tarrif increase's occur to equalise the impact that De-limitation bring's to our Trade? So you could say the 30 plates that have went on in Edinburgh are part responsible for the pending increases in Edinburgh :)

Now stick that in your PIPE and smoke it

Problem you've got Dougie is that my posts are based on logic and reflect the interests of drivers and the public.

Your rants are based on selfishness, greed and a callous disregard for customers.

You will have noticed that our customers are deserting us in droves. Any planned usage is heading in the direction of PH who are engaging with our customers and winning them from us.

BTW I'm still waiting for the redoubtable CC to tell us what hs pretendy wee club is doing about payment refusniks

£36.50 for what then Wayne? Just to massage your ego?

"ya old crank" How can an aspiring leader of the taxi trade expect respect while using the language of the playground.

Time for you to grow up methinks.

BTW If you were as successful as your ego thinks you are, you wouldn't be bumping your gums in the Scottish Section.

Thing is the airport tariff could have been added as an extra, that would only have required the printing of a new tariff sheet.

This would have allowed the rest of the trade a deferred increase to allow the economy to settle and a proper review of the tariff to be made.

That would have been logic.

But City and Central have tagged on the drop of the flag increase just to justify their new airport tariff.

So, we're stuck with a tariff for the next months with no hope of any merited review, while PH are undercutting us big time.

Seems the big two have the same logic as Waynes world NTA

Not my ego Jim, its the individual membership of an organisation that has been around since well before you ever got involved in taxis.

'ya old crank' seems quite apt for you.....because you are a crank, and a deluded one at that.

I can post on this forum wherever I like, unless of course admin says different.

Of course this has nothing to do with your apparent objection and scaremongering to the proposed increase in fares in Edinburgh has it. You're merely trying to deflect, with me as a convenient target.

Is it possible to object to a fare increase in Scotland? I dont know.....as I mentioned to AliT.....it is in England.

You dont seem to have realised that in January alone costs have risen 3.7%.......this includes increased fuel costs that affect all....as well as the increase VAT rate.

But hey.....you're the drivers friend.

My guess is, if the 'trade' had opposed an increase you would still object.....that's why you're a crank.

No Jim i've not noticed our customers deserting us in Droves but have witnessed a downturn :-o I don't know your definition of LOGIC :?: There is no logic to it  As a Tour guide, blue badge holder, i regulary get many compliments on my customer service a service the customer is willing to pay for  Oh and by the way my Tours are cheaper than our cities tour operators, that's why they hire me, i pay them a commission.

The thing i do like about you though is you enjoy living in your own wee world

Myopia Dougie. You have myopia.

And you ARE clearly a stranger to logic, you don't even understand the meaning of the word.

And, if customers aren't deserting us, why is PH picking up more customers? Couldn't be because they've reduced their tariff could it?

As for your supposed customer service plaudits? How do we know this isn't just the same bogus tosh you've spouted all along.

No demand but a tariff to encourage drivers to work the times when demand isn't being met?

No ripping off of drivers but then you want rentals reduced.

No more licences but then you are privileged enough to have one, like pulling up the drawbridge once you're allowed into the castle.

You couldn't make you up Dougie. Whereas I'm for an open playing field equal opportunity for ALL, you're only interested in YOU. Pathetic. It wouldn't be so bad but for the plain truth that it is YOUR status quo that has driven the trade into the ground.

As for CC, he knows he's lost the argument. He's a dinosaur unable to survive in the commercial world without the protection racket that is government restriction.

That's why he has to resort to the language of the playground. He's acting like a child posing as an adult.

If costs HAVE increased by 3.7 % then we should know this. And a proper review would reveal this allowing it to be properly considered and acted upon.

This is not what is happening now. We're being stiffed with a false increase which is going to prevent any 3.7% necessary increase until the next review.

And, if the need for a further increase is compounded by then we could be looking at an inflation busting hike that will only mitigate against the trade, reinforce public perception of our naked greed, causing us to lose even more customers to the discount merchants in PH.

Wayne and his world thinks this is a goiod idea then I'll ask the question again, what is the point of shelling out £37.50 for a leadership bereft of even common sense?

Re:Jasbar Taylor

I've Re'd specific points within your post :D

if customers aren't deserting us, why is PH picking up more customers? Couldn't be because they've reduced their tariff could it? RE: Customers are not deserting, there is a recession on and it's just hitting our Trade NOW

As for your supposed customer service plaudits? How do we know this isn't just the same bogus tosh you've spouted all along. RE: RABBIE'S

No demand but a tariff to encourage drivers to work the times when demand isn't being met? RE: You know my view on this, Keep the Tarrif the same at low demand and increase at times of HIGH DEMAND :D

No ripping off of drivers but then you want rentals reduced. RE: the Trade is ripping it self off from top too bottom, a recession decrease's turnover more so for drivers, a bit of both (higher Tarrif) would help drivers stay in the Trade of which helps at times of high demand :D

No more licences but then you are privileged enough to have one, like pulling up the drawbridge once you're allowed into the castle. Re: wrong again  Isn't it me who wants the New York way brought in :D Isn't it me who say's 100 new licences to pay for a new Taxi examination centre but also to help feck the PHC :D

You couldn't make you up Dougie. Whereas I'm for an open playing field equal opportunity for ALL, you're only interested in YOU. Pathetic. It wouldn't be so bad but for the plain truth that it is YOUR status quo that has driven the trade into the ground. Re: I'm for a fair playing feild based on how the Trade has run and is currently being regulated :D

As for CC, he knows he's lost the argument. He's a dinosaur unable to survive in the commercial world without the protection racket that is government restriction. Re: Jim if you had any LOGIC you would know it's your argument that is 25 years outdated :D

That's why he has to resort to the language of the playground. He's acting like a child posing as an adult. Re:You are speaking from personel experiance!!! Fully qualified of course

If costs HAVE increased by 3.7 % then we should know this. And a proper review would reveal this allowing it to be properly considered and acted upon. Re: AGREE

This is not what is happening now. We're being stiffed with a false increase which is going to prevent any 3.7% necessary increase until the next review. Re: A bit of flexibility didn't harm anyone, infact it could help the trade :D

And, if the need for a further increase is compounded by then we could be looking at an inflation busting hike that will only mitigate against the trade, reinforce public perception of our naked greed, causing us to lose even more customers to the discount merchants in PH. Re: Disagree, by that time hopefully the Trade will have a new STATEGY in defeating the competition

Wayne and his world thinks this is a goiod idea then I'll ask the question again, what is the point of shelling out £37.50 for a leadership bereft of even common sense? Re: This comment doesn't make sense :?:

I'm sure you've been called better than crank, and as for the languange of the playground.....errm it just shows how thick you are.

A child can see what you're game is, you don't give a sh*t about the drivers and your list of points regarding the tarrif increase was obviously the work of some window licker or another.

If you object to the fares going up fine......formulate an objection, but don't try telling people it's in their interests, because from where most people sit they can see your only concern is you.

Wayne, why don't you just read the post again, properly this time, before embarrassing yourself?

Kinda makes me wonder how you ever got elected.

You WERE elected weren't you?
