If you work at a station what are your permit fee,s and what town or city

I work Dundee Station no fee but no work either

And before you ask why i work the station when there is no work, its because i love telling the people who visit Dundee how wonderful it is

Also my mate tx op is always good for some wav banter.

The only ranks here are on council land so there are no fees. There are dozens of stations on the Wirral but only half dozen ranks if not less

no fees at the falkirk stations, (all, afaik, on scotrail property)

as an aside, when I worked in falkirk there was, at most, 7-8 taxis regularly worked the high station rank. now 15-20 is the norm. (there's 8 rank spaces, iirc)

One of the biggest problems with the permit system at large stations is that the train companies often delegate opertations to management companies, Fraser Eagle springs to mind on the West Coast mainline.

Across on the East Coast you have places where 'associations' have taken over, drivers are promoted into positions way beyond their station (pun intended). Drivers can be suspended by legally dubious ad hoc committees etc

The whole thing is a mess, but I don't think anything will happen, one driver shafting another, it's been here since the horse and cart.

Basically its to let those who are being shafted know there is light at the other end of the platform
what is the difference between the east and west cost fees
York as CC points out is one of the places where the cab owner does the shafting, as national express has pulled out and the drivers are daft enough to still pay
