Hi guys just wondering if its possible to licence your home (spare bedroom) ? Just one avenue we are looking at as premises are becoming few and far beetween round here.

I believe it has been done but, you will also have to consider how much business use your original planning consent will allow.

All depends on what conditions your council has.

In my manor you can, but in many others you need a premises license.

Which I suppose you could apply for at your home.

you can get a certificate lawfulness by your planning though they may not give you one for more themn 2 vehicles,and use it as a waiting room

Depends upon the Council, but also depends upon whether Hackney or Private Hire too. A Hackney Carriage does not need an operators licence separate from the vehicle licence, but in many (all?) areas a PH needs an operators licence as well as the vehicle licence, which in turn means an "operating centre" to maintain vehicles and take bookings etc etc.

here i can run 2 PHVs with no bother, but i dont run like most. i can have 2 on my ops licence, or id go hackney and let em sit on the rank 13 miles away...
