GMB PROFFESIONAL DRIVERS BRANCH HOLD ELECTION HUSTINGS
MEETING OVER CAB CRISIS ESSEX
Monday 26th April Barnstable Club South Riding Basildon

GMB members who work throughout Essex’s cab and private hire industry are holding an election hustings to quiz local general election and council candidates on their view for the future of the industry in Billericay Wickham, Pitsea and other Essex towns.

The meeting takes place at:

12.30
THE BARSTABLE CLUB
SOUTH RIDING
BASILDON
SS14 1 PD

Speakers include:
Angela Smith MP, Basildon
Lynda Gordon, Leader Group Basildon Council
Pat Rackley, Labour Spokesperson on Licensing
Tony Ball, Conservative Leader Basildon Council
David Abrahal, Chair Conservative Licensing Committee
The Citizens Advice Bureau Report on Poverty In taxi trade

Terence Flanagan, GMB PDB London Region Branch Secretary said, “I urge all cab and private hire driver to attend this meeting of the movers and shakers in our industry. This is the only opportunity we will get to question the politicians responsible for our transport trade before the elections on the issues that we all know all to well.

Cab and private hire drivers complain that politicians treat us badly and ignore us when we tell them what is best for the customers and the trade. On Monday we can tell them and know that they are listening.”

Mind you theres a thought i wonder what would happen if you put terry flannagan and nick Griffin into the large hadron Collider and crashed them into one another ?
