Reading taxi fare row passengers attacked

A Berkshire man needed stitches after being hit on the head with a metal bar in a fight over a taxi fare.
Police said two men from Maidenhead were attacked after a row with a driver and two other passengers in Reading.
The men, both aged 20, got into the taxi at 0215 BST with two other men before a row ensued about the fare.
The pair got out of the car at Sutton Seeds roundabout in Woodley, but the driver and two other passengers followed them and a fight broke out.
Police said the three men got back into the car and left but returned soon afterwards and attacked the pair with a metal bar.
One of the victims needed eight stitches after being hit on the head.
The attackers were described as between 18 and 21 years old, of mixed race, with dark hair, of average build and about 5ft 8ins (1.73m) tall.
The taxi driver is said to be of mixed race and between 20 and 30 years old.
The vehicle is described as a red seven-seater Volkswagen.
