I value my occasional customer who has a dog. They get in where I say they will get in; I make money!

Where does the 'follow orders and regulation' come into that?

Come on, Wannabee. I've always had you down as a good 'un.

how does that work with a london/icon cab

Not my problem I drive a saloon.

Having driven an FX as I recall there is a large cabin space in the back big enough for any assistance dog to sit on the vinyl floor nowhere near the seats.

I almost forgot the important forum rule "Don't feed the troll"

The punter, but there's more chance of the driver spewing up than an assisted dog.

As a taxi/ph driver it goes without saying that you will follow the law and regulations or you won't be a taxi/ph driver for long will you?

Of course you have the right to ask the question and we have answered it with our opinions, I think what you really want to know is 'what gives them the right to inflict bye-laws/regulations on you just cos you're a taxi/ph driver' or even 'why is it important to make life a little easier for people who already have a disadvantage' :-|

He is a good 'un.

But he's what the Apaches, Souix & Cheyenne would call a renegade.

is the carrying of helper dogs a DisDis issue or LA matter?

ive not got our LAs "executive" R&R's/twaddle but if i ran a Bentley Continetal turbo i very much doubt any shaggy dog would be getting on my axminster carpets...

I would guess that the Bentley would be PH and not Hackney.

It's not an issue, or a matter, it's a duty.

I don't think it matters what they are when it comes to assistance dogs :-|

A customer service issue. Unfortunately, some of our brethren need to be forced to provide customer service.....
