Heard in the wind, and confirmed somewhat directly from the council.
The rock on which the policy of restriction was is founded, and on which it is now floundering, is being put out to grass.
Despite word that the reason no response was received from Jim Inch - Corporate Services Dictator - was because he was "no longer there", the official council position is that Inch is going early next year.
He hasn't been seconded out, he hasn't been sacked and he is most definitely NOT on "gardening leave".
Nope, the official position is that he is retiring "early next year"?
So the reason no response was forthcoming was .... what precisely.
Methinks there is some skulduggery here.
But we await developments with interest.
Anyway, this is another sign that things are changing within the council. Moving Millar out, bringing in Donald MacLeod, and Inch being put out to grass. The Winds are whistling.
Coupled with the reported disharmony amongst councillors hacked off with the campaign to bring reason, logic and fairness to the taxi service, well watch this space.
Perhaps the message is beginning to get through that this war does not end until we say it does.
