anyone know whats hapenning with the taxicards in dundee?,i missed the report in the press and have heard conflicting storys,if they cancel them is it both the wheelchair cards and the swipe cards youngy handles or just youngys ?and who is going to operate the buses

There is a pilot taxi bus scheme starting in August and will only operate in linlathen and MiD, if the scheme is successful it will be rolled out across the city and the taxi card will no longer exist for either the able body or wheelchair taxi card customers.The council have said they will buy the buses and lease them out to a charity to run the scheme.The taxi card is worth £300,000 a year so the council are making a big saving if the taxi bus scheme is successful.I personally can not see the taxi bus scheme working and think it is just a way of doing away with the taxi card scheme and saving money.
