It would seem that they are back on the road , gaining information as to how drivers should be trained..... absolutely marvellous.... put a teaching course in place..... and then find out what they have been doing wrong.... .

Sounds about right, just in time for the September terms in colleges and they probably still won't get it right cos they won't ask the right people. If they do ask the right people those people will say 'I've done this job for years and never needed any training so why do I need it now. There's nothing you can teach me'.

And the unions/associations that are bigging it up are the ones with their noses firmly in the trough.

FFS........

My driving licence is older than most instructors or examiners........

ive averaged 50,000 per year for the last 20 years, car, van and 7.5tonner (on tacho), i have towed caravans, ive driven to spain, ive passed driver assesments in 7.5tonners for haulage firms and also for ambulance services, frankly i do NOT think a 30 minute DSA "taxi test" will do very much for me, i already dodge the nutters with ease doing 1000 mile week thanks, teach THEM!

Are you saying there is nothing about this industry that you could learn?

Oh well now I feel reassured. I just hope every taxi driver in the Uk knows everything you do  THERE'S NO NEED TO SHOUT, FFS

Drivers have been complaining that the training isn't appropriate, so now when they ask what the trade wants, you suggest they should already know :?
