The thing that people should realise is that for every action there is the reverse action.... over 10 years ago we fought to bring licensing costs under control.... a hackney carriage licence was a hundred and 20 pounds a year... last year it was 140 pounds which was reduced this year.... the point I am making is that if it had been left alone it would probably be 300 to £400 a year now..... and the same price for private hire.... would they have grown so much....
