Lets say you were in Bruce's position unable to assist a wheelchair passenger and still had put on a wav when the council still licence saloons, bearing in mind Bruce is an existing licence holder and is only asking for a variation. This could be me or you.

And you drive what kind of vehicle, precisely?

I drive a saloon

What are you all about you tit you feel Threatened because you no you were wrong in your comments you are so full of your self you do not want to retract them.Do not think for one minute that by mentioning the STF that i will back down , i will always back the taxi drivers who get a raw deal from councils and comments like yours just help councils to shxt all over us. :x

Not exactly, I suggest you check your previous posts, where the threat was made.

I dont expect you to back down, just like I dont expect the chap to get a saloon plate. But that is an opinion and you confuse opinion with policy, then blame me for both?

I think certain drivers, 75% plus especially in Dundee and Carlisle are getting a raw deal, indeed, I actually believe that all drivers should have freedom of choice of vehicles........jeez thats what the NTA policy is.

The fact of the matter is, that is all drivers were given freedom of choice the taxi market in delimited areas would be flooded with PHV's exchanging their plates for HC plates.

Now, how many of the plates in Dundee are rented out separately to vehicles, and is this illegal according to that scottish law and the god you lot worship?

No they shouldn't, and I hope the driver gets a saloon license.

Many wheelchair users come with helpers willing to load the wheelchair also many wheelchair jobs are kids or frail passengers, buying a wav taxi allows you to cover your options, turn up and if your unable to carry out the job don't do it, like Skull indicates you don't have to do it if you feel unsafe.

Not having a WAV though is a disadvantage, not wanting to load a wheelchair is a sign of a lazy taxi driver, unless holding an exemption

I do not think you would like to tell someone in a wheelchair that you cannot take them, its bad enough telling people you cannot take five .Also many Wheelchair users do not have cares what then.

Sometimes i have to do just that

I have a Metrocab which is wheelchair accessible but somtimes some wheelchairs are not Metrocab accessible, the width of the wheelchair is the problem, mostly larger wheelchair passengers, also a metro can only take 1 wheelchair and 2 passengers, so sometimes if there is 1 wheelchair and 3 passengers i have to say sorry i can't take you

As long as the rejection is reasonable the wheelchair user understands

It appears that some of the wheelchair users are far more understanding than some of the posters on here

Anyway I was curious as to what type of vehicles that can be licensed in Dundee as taxis. I was initially under the impression that they were 100% WAV but it seems they aren't and what type of WAVs are they allowed to use?

Toots Dundee has a mixed fleet, there is a long list of wavs that can be licensed. Dundee also allows rear loading.
The situation is a total mess and is not fair .

They license Doblos?

Are they the ones like saloon cars, where you move the seats forward when getting a wheelchair passenger in, and move them back when they ain't needed?

This gets curiouser and curiouser.

Is that a list of what cars and where you have to get them from or just a list of what vehicles can be licensed by Dundee?
