You've got your argument all wrong, from the morality of the system to what you think I believe. I have never called anyone scum for selling plates. I have laughed at people who buy plates, and I think the trade is run by scumbags but that's about it.

The LLP, is an entity within itself, you can be a director, but I'm not sure about owning.

What are you on about now, I don't expect anyone to act reasonably? As for the de-restriction, the trade is fecked, and the trade in Edinburgh is still restricted. Guys are paying a fortune for rentals and there's no money to be made.
