You should have told him you would cover the job, but at your rate and not his. That way he would soon see how out of pocket he is.

We're not far off £1.50 a litre, it's currently £1.35 for a litre of diesel.

The banks just got hit for £800,000,000 by the taxman, so there is the chance THIS years duty rise could be put off
