2 more drivers have given up trying to make a living off the rank today, they were a husband and wife team who both had a Fiat Jubilee, they have left the rank and gone onto a PH radio circuit

So whats the big deal? didn't they look before they leapt? Do they think the world owes them a living? Welcome to the real world of the Taxi trade. They should have done some research before they invested their life savings in a precarious business. They have no one to blame but themselves. Its a cruel world when you have to compete with others.

Without being too critical, we seem to have a situation where two people new to the trade were freely issued licenses and have found that they need a radio system to increase their takings.

It is interesting to note that the two persons purchased in September, and after the busy three months that is the build up to christmas, have found at the quietest time of the year they need a radio.

I could be forgiven in thinking that this was perhaps the original intention of the two.

Regards

Captain cab

I've never publicly said I want deregulation Nigel, ever. So get your facts right sunshine before you engage that moronic brain of yours. I have said the word Equality on many occasions. You know what that means don't you? It means that you and I and everyone else on this planet are EQUAL. Get the picture.

We all know that you think the Mansfield Council owes you a living. Well it might come as a surprise to you but Mansfield Council take the opposite view.

Nidge,

I think you should look at the issue with these two people in this way.

Your the professional taxi driver, these two people came into your trade, thinking they would make a killing despite all that you and your colleagues have been saying.

As horrible as it is, you should maybe be thinking, "Well we warned them", you should also maybe think, well I must be professional because I was here for them three months and I still am.

Regards

Captain cab
