25p a mile for diesel, £50 seems way too cheap. Half price in fact.

It has to be a real statement of your worth to subsidise a punter.

Or are we all now just that desperate given the complete horlicks our government has made of our economy?

Wish I worked down your way then. I work in the city and stay out jct 11 m74 direction. Depending on the time of day it would be a nice run home. Nice to be nice 8) and no desperation here, doing quite nicely thanks :mrgreen:

40 mile run, all motorway, steady 60mph, 50mpg, i make that 1.5 gallons (round trip) = £10 max and 2 hours with a break

£30 then
