Asked by presenter Bernard Ponsonby, Alex Salmond, First Minister, admitted that 300,000 stop and searches were conducted by Strathclyde Police alone.

From this, around 7,000 incidences of possession were found, although Salmond couldn't tell us what the conviction rate was.

This is the SNP society that is being built.

No surprise to us of course, because we've witnessed SNP fascism discharged by Cllr Keir.

BTW I wonder how much grief we, as taxi drivers, are getting because our cops are noising up our youth?

Non-payment, imflammatory language, outright intimidation, abuse of traffic laws - all happen to us.

Yet, the SNP fascist circle is complete when councils remove licences based only on unproven allegations.

This is what the supposed "best small country in the world" has become. I shudder to think where it is clearly heading.

I know, God alone knows how he ever managed to become First Minister.

Maybe because he had no major competitors for the post...what a bunch of wet blankets those Holyrood MSPs are. We would be better closing that place down and saving a few £ billion which could be better spent on something more useful..certainly you would be hard pushed to find something less useful..

:D :D :D :D :D

I sense running scared of a political party with an agenda that is different to yours Jasbar, but hey all democratic political systems need a majority to rule, sounds fair and without discrimination to me

The SNP have earned another 4 years running our country, finish of the good work they have started you know, Council Tax, Extra police, increase in the NHS budget instead of cutting the budget, Free prescription charges, tuition fees, community sentencing, keeping Scottish Water in public hands, tackiling our social problem through real educational programmes, and lets not forget their fight against organised crime, just a few to mention but!!! All of the above had been neglected since Labour came in to power in 1997, infact what have Labour actually done to repair the damage done by Margret Thatcher? nowt absolutly nowt, The SNP are a party making progress and that is the opinion of the Majority (i hope)

After yesterday's results it would seem a referendum beckons.

I wouldn't be so sure. The result would have been very different if people had been voting for the SNP and independence rather than just the SNP.

The SNP know they can't win a referendum just now; that's why Alex Salmond has been running scared on it for years - despite the posturing and bluster - and why he's already postponed it for at least four years or so.

Good.

Then those MPs up there can't vote on policies solely relating to issues down here.

68 Seats is being predicted, an overall Majority is in sight :D

The vote yesterday was about who is BEST to run our country and clearly the Scottish people recognise the SNP as the political party who WILL deliver for Scotland

THe Vote yesterday was not about independence but the question will now be asked, we the SNP have a good argument for independence but ultimatley the decision to break away is a choice the Scottish people will make

It is great to see that the Scottish people voted for the SNP as the party to run our parliament and without voting on the issue of independence which is a different vote all together.

I'm :D :D :D :D :D :D 8)

With around only half the electorate voting wouldn't it be folly to think that a majority would vote for independence.

Question. Will the SNP now have the balls to bin the tram line?

Will they privatise the bus services?

Will they reform local government?

Will they bring our justice system into the 21st century?

Or will they just hike up the price of alcohol and give our cops free to control us?

Any takers on a bet whether Megrahi will die during the life of this Parliament?

Or are S.E.A.L.S. already winging their way to his compound with the pre-requisite 9mm cranial injection?
