I hope it's not the one that's managed by the local T&G man.

Got it in one.

Are the LA's licensing section not interested? Dont know what its like down there but ours tend to be quite hot on these things when reported, they do tend to like the fees for plates and badges

Regards

Iraq Information Minister wrote:
Yesterday we heard the man called Cgull. He, of course, is a driver. He said, more or less, that the T&G man and his mercenaries, were running illegally. You answered that they are probably legal. The licensing officers are in position to deal with these people if they are acting illegally. It was claimed that the person operating the union was involved in this operation. I say that the unions position is such that his members would not permit such a misappropriation. You then went on to insult me, you are not worth an old shoe.

you are mistaken I observed a matter of fact not an insult, you are not from the iraq ministery, you are not in Bagdad, you are telling lies, fact

you accuse others of telling lies fact.

if you dont like it move to a more truthfull pose.indeed more believable.

I am sorry that you do not share the same irony I do with regards to my choice of name.

You are correct I am not from Baghdad, perhaps you have a touch of the Sherlock Holmes about you, I choose to use this name as it amuses me, I presume that your nom de guerre means that you are a tasty snack enjoyed by wagon drivers, or that Sussex is an entire county, or that Gateshead Angel is really a divine messenger or Captain cab is really a captain. The name is irrelevant, it is surely the points raised.

I did not mean to disrespect the person who started this thread, yet I find it difficult to believe that the allegations could be made about a person who represents taxi drivers, you will know what taxi drivers are like, and if they suspect any wrongdoing they will go to the authorities about it, the taxi grapevine in many areas is like this.

In respect of the Rotherham thread, you fail to recognise the humour employed, the report came from the local paper, you will know that the press in general blow things out of proportion, often confusing taxis with private hire and also blowing what one driver may say into a massive headline. I was merely underpinning the irony.

With reference to the issues arising out of Manchester airport, if the company is operating on the fringes of the law or because of a loophole the law quite rightly needs changed. But there are double standards here and I wonder that even if someone like Sussex or yourself operated a company there, and it was run in a manner that was within the law, that we would not have the same people complaining about you.

While I am sure Gedmay is an excellent taxi driver and an asset to his airport, this is no slant on him and I hope it is taken in a positive manner, surely the question needs raised as to why the airport authorities chose a company from over 250 miles away as opposed to the one outside their front door? Did you not advise Gateshead angel of the advantages that he had as a hackney over a private hire? does the same not apply here?

If you look to the words and phrases I am using you will probably guess that the language used is of the guy in the picture. Lighten up.

Good, good, then I will continue to add my views, as we are surrounding them and pounding them. The whole trend has changed and we are going to finalize this very soon.

Comical,
"Excellent" and any reference to me should never be used in the same sentence, it is without doubt an oxymoron. The coupling that is, not you!!
Now my good chap, remove tongue from cheek and explain the so called double standard.
For chapter and verse on the airport stance scroll through my previous musings, greed is their motivation. You ask the question about why a firm from the South were brought in, was it rhetorical or perhaps you know the answer?
Anyway as the P.M says "I refer you to my earlier answer"
Ged

I will make my response at the appropriate time, this will be shortly after the hearing.

I do not know the answer, I would like to know why the taxis outside were not gainfully employed. I can only presume that the company involved offered both a cheaper service with uniformed drivers and a variation of vehicles.

concerning your PM, I think the British nation has never been faced with a tragedy like this fellow.
