The number in Dundee was 487

When exactly was that?
In November 2003, when Dundee removed the cap it was 507.
That doesn't including the 71 taxi licenses granted by the sheriff to Dundee Taxi Cab Company Limited, so in reality it was actually 578

And in Over & Out's world taxiiing is something that people never give up to retire or move on to another job.

Of course, the reason for this line of thinking is obvious - he thinks the number of plates should be set in stone, so no one ever gives up as such. :-|

Then the number of cars increase to three times as much as you have in Edinburgh now, you won't be able to earn a grand a month, and that's before any out lay then where will you all be?

So how much in Dundee before and how much after??

Wasn't there 500 in Dundee before, so you're saying there are 1,500 now?

I thought there were actually around 600-odd, but if you won't tell us then I'm sure it's been posted on here sometime in the past few months. [-(

The number in Dundee was 487 and has now risen in excess of 700 and there is an average of 10 going at every licensing meeting, but remember Edinburgh is a much more vibrant city than Dundee so stand back and watch your numbers rise if it stays open
