"I've only just begun" by the Carpenters.

If anyone can find a mug to buy their plate, I would suggest you do it ASAP. Take whatever you can get and then submit another application. The games [edited by admin] anyway. This is about grabbing what you can before the ship goes down. Rest assured there will be further applications once we've had a chance to go through the ruling. We expect it to be a damming condemnation of the council's actions.

I hate to say it boys', but we told you so.

Taxi drivers have been reported queuing up for a spot on the North Bridge. The word is, if you are going to jump you have to apply to the council for a licence. However, all is not lost as there will be no shortage of razor blades, rope or hose pipe. A council spokesperson was to report to have said “it's the bloody mess after they go through the glass roof and on to the tracks that cause the problem. Why can't they do it in the comfort of their own home? It's just typical of bloody taxi drivers, no consideration for anyone”.

The council has advised they are about to carry out a survey to see how many cabbies the North Bridge can hold but until then, you will have to buy a licence. If you apply now there is every likelihood your licence application will be turned down.

It just goes to show the courts are in with the local authorities. They waited until after the elections to give the decision. The Sheriff sat on it for months. Yes, it was the right decision but the courts are supposed to be beyond reproach. You can't tell me the timing was not political. The judge was obviously gotten at and favours were done. [-(

The corruption in the system would make you sick. Anyone who believes in Truth or Justice is a numpty of the highest order. What we have is the LAW.

THE END

New York New York :D

Pure trolling.

I think it's all about discouraging further challenge to the licensing system. However, I do expect 27 licenses to be granted, not all at once and without some reluctance but eventually. It depends on the deal done between QC Armstrong and Sheriff Noble. I would imagine that Sheriff Noble would not be too pleased if any of the 27 ended up back in court. :-|
