It wouldn't be licensed for London, no more than a Ford Mondeo or a similar saloon car would.

So how will TFL get around the cab shortages when geeky stops production of the TX and that cannot be far off

So far Skippy, you're the only one who seems to believe that LTC / Geeley is stopping production? :?

The TX4 sales are well up at the moment, and the orders for other countries are also doing well. Why would they stop trading?

I agree with skippy - Tx in Leeds anyway are history - I myself have had a tx 1 , 2 and 4 but gone are them days - too dear to buy, too dear to run and no loyalty from those who sell you it - I can't say the alternatives in Leeds are my cup of tea but in this climate money talks

And that's why many viewed the TX range as a no go, if they had a choice.

Sales of Tx's dropped over 5% in the last year and that is with the much trumpeted new model (tart up of the old) STYLE and ELEGANCE. There some 30,000 cabs in greater London. The potential sales are therefore 2000 per year. They only sold 530 approx for the whole country. I would say they are Kna**ered. However they have been lucky in the past. The current recall to the Vito's may give them breathing space.

Why would they spend a bomb on an oversized Mini, when you can buy a full sized Skoda or Toyota for less?

They're not.

There's a new part for the rear wheel steering you can have fitted if your one has given you trouble.

There's the same for the intercom. I'm awaiting a date for mine, the feedback from it gets on your tits.

Neither is a recall though, it's only if you need either.

Who knows, but currently we have the cab trade driving a £35,000 tank, doing less than 20mph.

How much sense does that make? :?
